Spilling beer on my Macbook last night was such a buzz kill and I ended up retiring early so I could let it dry overnight. Even though it was a super minor spill, now my r and four keys aren’t responding. I suppose it could be worse, but this is pretty frakkin’ inconvenient. I apologize in advance for any future typos and welcome any advice to remedy this problem.

Mine never recovered from a friend spilling. Funny enough, same area, but I lost a lot more keys. Like E. E & R are important. And then some worked again while others stopped. Yours sounds MUCH better than mine so I’m sure a cleaning will fix it.

Unplug your laptop and keep it off for another 24-48 hours, and cover the keyboard in uncooked rice. The rice will suck up any remaining moisture.
